11/22/2023 0 Comments Hifi rush rhythm master![]() ![]() The gameplay is fantastic and it clicked with me straight away, so excited to play through the entire thing. Played through first boss and the gameplay is phenomenal - it truly gives me Devil May Cry meets Rhythm Tengoku (or maybe rather Mother 3) - and since character action games and rhythm games are both by far my favourite favourite genres this could have been my dream game. I decided to purchase xcloud again just for this game and luckily I got a 1 euro offer again in case the latency over stream was an issue but luckily it's not too bad - apart from some artefacting. There are so many cute little tricks in this game and I'm sure there's a ton more. Also been really enjoying Korsika's hold-assist tornado for when enemies land after an air-combo, because it can stun/keep them busy for you to start another combo. If you get the wind up right, you can parry the action of putting their shield up, and it will immediately destroy it. My FAVOURITE is catching enemies trying to start their blue bubble shield at the start of a fight. Someone already mentioned Parry counters instantly break Mac shields, but also cool that you can break shields with the immediate finisher move and spending a gauge to use Mac assist or using your super. ![]() I also really like the little hidden mechanics in the game. Parry loadouts/the style chips are pretty neat for this. It's been fun on Rhythm Master trying to do dodges/parries to the rhythm to keep the gauge from dipping to D, or trying to save Super for those sections to skip through parts faster for Rhythm Tower. I saw it discussed a bit previously, but I'm not against certain boss fights or sections having quiet moments. The higher difficulties are mainly about being stricter if you make mistakes. My only surprise is that they haven't changed enemy placements like other character action games, which honestly makes it a lot easier. Dodge counter is your friend here.Īlmost at 100%. She only really seems to do that during phases one and two though.Īll in all you can make the Rekka fight go by super fast if you're on the ball. Again RNG kind of rules the roost on that move because she's not guaranteed to do it, but if she gets it out quick you can basically delete an entire life segment. If you bait her into a wall on her long tackle (different from the 3 successive tackles) she will enter a stunned state and you'll be able to juggle her. She can only do this after her first and second phase because they cut to a cutscene. she doesn't seem able to oki out of her juggle state. practically a third of a life segment.Īlso Rekka can be juggled infinitely from life segment 3 all through her 4th. but her counter summon deals quite a bit actually. Peppermints normal summon does very little damage. The only indication that you are supposed to use her is when Rekka puts up the shield, but she'll only do that if she's taken enough damage during her electrified state. ![]() They seem to want you to use Peppermint during that fight, but it's deceptive because it doesn't really explain that. Not worth much because it's all RNG but it does make for a faster way to deal damage. Also in the later half of the fight when she can do her grab, it dispels the shield immediately. The more damage she takes the faster she seems to turn it into a shield. While not all special attacks are useful, these are the best ones that are easy to execute and do high damage.I think Rekka's electricity thing can be dispelled faster with Peppermints dodge counter. These attacks do much more but require more finesse, which can make or break the fight. Players can execute some cool-looking combos and great special attacks they can once they have the gauge filled up. Combat is more forgiving since players don't need to stay on the beat as much as they do in other rhythm games. It has a great soundtrack that makes gameplay even more immersive, and it is easy to play. The latest entry in this genre, Hi-Fi Rush, does a great job of this. However, if they're fun and accessible, players will have an easier time adjusting. This can be challenging for many players since the gameplay is more technical. The main component of these games is that players have to hit the beat of the song in order for movements or attacks to land. While many developers have done this, certain genres are used less often in crossovers. It can be hard to execute, but when done right, the gameplay is rewarding and fun. By mixing several genres together, exciting things can be created. ![]()
